Classic Car Dealership in Santa Barbara, CA
ZOOM MOTORS
The Zoom Motors project revitalized a 1950s Standard Oil gas station, which had served as an auto repair shop for two decades, into a high-end boutique auto dealership specializing in classic and specialty automobiles. Our approach focused on adaptive reuse, preserving much of the original structure while transforming it to suit the client’s vision of a modern, stylish showroom. The block building, with its vintage charm, was carefully reimagined to house a contemporary automotive dealership that blends history with innovation.
The former auto bays, once dedicated to repairs, were converted into sleek, vibrant showrooms that highlight the beauty of specialty vehicles. The dealership now features an impressive collection of classic cars, with each vehicle displayed in a way that accentuates its timeless appeal. Inside, the office areas were completely upgraded, featuring a new kitchenette, ADA-compliant restroom, and workspaces that cater to the dealership's operational needs. A highlight of the project is the custom-designed conference area, which serves as a central gathering spot for both clients and staff. We collaborated closely with the client to create a one-of-a-kind conference table that is not only functional but also reflects the style and energy of the Classic Car Dealership.

The interior design was crafted to reflect a modern, lively atmosphere that matches the client’s business identity, creating an environment that feels both upscale and welcoming. By combining historical elements with fresh, contemporary details, Zoom Motors stands as a striking example of adaptive reuse and modern design. The mix of original architectural features, like the painted CMU brick walls and aluminum garage panels, with the vibrant, sleek showroom creates an atmosphere that appeals to classic car enthusiasts and collectors alike. As a premier Classic Car Dealership, Zoom Motors exemplifies the perfect balance of tradition and innovation, offering an unparalleled experience for those seeking rare and vintage automobiles.
