EUREKA! INDIAN WELLS

Design Challenge

How did the architects support an emerging brand’s identity in multiple locations from concept to final execution?

Design Solution

While working closely with Eureka!, a restaurant known for its casual sophistication and craft beer selection, AB design studio brought contemporary elegance to the chain concept. The architects were commissioned to design several locations across the western United States, and blended vibrant interior finishes with modern industrial styling. AB design studio ensured that each location maintained its own design scheme respective of its locale, functioned as a place to convene, and connected with the streetscape to create a larger sense of community. The brand is known for its use of reclaimed wood, exposed architectural elements, eye-catching lighting fixtures, accented ceilings, Escher-inspired wallpaper, and bars that serve as the centerpiece of the spaces. A carefully planned kitchen and back-of-house contributes to the smooth running of each restaurant. The design team collaborated closely with a graphic designer to ensure that all collateral was in accord with the décor. As Eureka! expands, the architects intend to keep each restaurant individually suited to the area in which it resides.
