The first floor is built entirely of concrete. Windows and other openings are outfitted with metal fire stutters that roll down from concealed locations in the head of each opening.
Additionally, the ability to control the openness of the home through these panels allows for versatility in day-to-day living. During normal conditions, the perforated panels allow natural light to filter through, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow that enhances the home’s visual appeal. However, when needed, the panels and doors can be closed to shield the home, demonstrating the dual-purpose nature of this design feature.
