How did the architects partner with a hotel owner to develop a plan to reposition a 60 year old, 605 room hotel that would modernize the property and elevate it to its highest value and best use?
The project was reimagined to help add additional parking to the property. The solution was to relocate the existing pool to the newly created roof level terrace above the remodelled lobby structure. In doing so, not only did they create ample parking space on the ground level, they also created a rooftop pool, lounge and dining terrace destination for both hotel guests and locals to enjoy. The hotel was converted from a hybrid standard / extended stay model to a fully standard stay boutique hotel. A full redesign of the facade, rooms, entry, lobby and restaurants modernized and refreshed the aging property, improving the opportunity for repositioning this old hotel.
